Finally a quiet night here! I didn't have chance to say thanks for everything, you were easy to deal with and up front about everything and I'd like to thank you. Not many people left in the dog world that are trustworthy at this point. You are one of the only, that I've dealt with in the US ( other then people I've dealt with in the past), over the last 3 or 4 years, thanks for keeping it simple and straight forward, the way it should be.  Kimberly WR Von Hayden GSD

Thank you for the amazing photos. AX has been doing great.  He is fearless and like you said has outstanding prey drive.  I lightly play with him every night for a few minutes with a puppy tug and he loves it.  He is also the smartest puppy I've ever seen.  I've already taught him the "sit" command and he has learned to sit by the door and wait until I say "okay" before he runs out to "go potty."  We are very impressed with the outstanding genetics he displays.  Thanks again for being so honest with us.  It was a pleasure purchasing AX from you and we will definitely recommend you to anyone looking for a real German Shepherd!

Take care,
M.

He's doing great,,,he'll be heading to his first training with the unit this week so they can see him. Zach B. (FLA LEO) A Litter                            Future K9

HI BARBARA,
FIRST I WANT TO SAY CONGRATS TO YOU ON YOUR NEW LITTER, THEY ARE SO BEAUTIFUL! I BET YOU WERE PRETTY SHOCKED TO RECEIVE SO MANY!  I AM SENDING YOU  A FEW PICS OF MY BEEBEE, SHE IS GROWING SO FAST, SHE NOW WEIGHS ABOUT 25 POUNDS, SHE GROWS DAILY!  I LOVE HER VERY MUCH!

SHE IS REALLY SMART SHE IS POTTY TRAINED AND SHE SITS AND KNOWS WHAT DOWN MEANS!  HONESTLY SHE LEARNED ALL THESE THINGS IN JUST A FEW LESSONS!

THANKS BARBARA HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU AGAIN!

BARBARA FROM CALI.  A Litter Female

Hi Barbara,

Well Axe is doing fantastic.  He is smart, loveable, and fun to be with.  We started training awhile ago and he picks it right up.  At John's suggestion I bring Axel to the park and do some training excercises around the outside of the dog park to get him use to the distractions.  The one thing that is a real trip about Axel is that he loves to talk and has our other dog doing it too.  Axel and Breck will lie down on a big cushion we have in the living room and play and talk.  Mike T A Litter Male
Barbara,
Thank you so very much! Sasha is such a joy! I think she has Great drive! She loves to play and shake her toys and brings them to me. She has not had even 1 accident in the house! When I say "outside potty" she runs to the door to go out. She doesn't like the wet grass and shakes her feet like a cat! She is so cute! Sasha follows me everywhere! She has to sleep at my feet and a paw or her head has to touch my feet or my shoe at all times! LOL! She sleeps with her head in my slipper! She is not afraid of my cane or my wheelchair, although I have to be careful with the wheelchair because she wants to be right next to the wheels. She walks next to me and is always looking at me to see where I am like a heel at my left side! Amazing! Thank you again for my "best friend"! Merry Christmas!

.  Barbara,
It's great to hear from you.
AX is doing very well.  He is currently signed him up for basic and advanced obedience training along with basic "schutzund" training.  Due to his young age, he will not get into the advanced protection training until he is closer to being a year old.  However, the staff at the training facility were very impressed with AX.  He has extremely high prey and defensive drives.  However, he is very friendly with strangers as long as he is told it's "okay."

As can be expected, he is a little stubborn at times.  However, he is very good with the kids and does what he is told.  We are very happy with AX and are looking forward to him completing his first four weeks of basic training.  He already knows the sit, down, stay, and heel commands, but he will be getting "professional" training along with the basic Schutzund prep training.  The trainers were so impressed with AX during his evaluation, that they called the head trainer and the owner to come out and see him.

AX seems to be very large for his age.  I haven't weighed him in about month, but he was 30 pounds at his last vet check up.  He continues to have thick bone structure and the shinest black coat you've ever seen.  We get compliments about his looks everywhere we go.  Most people don't know what kind of dog he is because they've never seen a black German Shepherd.  They are always very surprised and intrigued when we tell them he's a German Shepherd.

I haven't downloaded any current photos off my camera, but I'll send some to you soon.

I hope you and your family had a Happy Holiday Season!

Take care,
M.

The temperament, quality, and appearance are exactly what we were looking for.  I also want to thank you both for working with us, and for caring first and foremost for the well being of the dogs.  We have appreciated your vast knowledge of the the breed and tips on how to handle the puppies.

We will send some pictures of Cholla and Kenya so you can see how healthy, happy, and beautiful they both are.

Thank you again Meir and  Lisa

I just wanted to say hello and give you updates on Bella! She is doing wonderful! She is such a good dog. So sweet. The vet continues to say that she is healthy and looks good! She is training well and we are in a puppy class with her. I am sure she is the smartest dog there! She gets things very quickly. She is cautious of other dogs and people at first, but once she gets the cue from us that they are ok, she is friendly and does very well. She is getting much better at going on walks. The next thing will work on is getting her to follow us and not run ahead when we are walking. I'm sure she will get it quickly once we start going on scheduled walks with her. She is doing very well with our cat too. She almost never chases her and when she does, it is just because she wants to play. She has never been aggressive towards that cat at all. Thank you for breeding such wonderful dogs!!

Hi Barbara,

I just wasted to send you a quick update on Zeus (Breaker). He had his first trip up to see snow this past weekend and loved it! He has been sleeping through the whole night without any problems. He loves "playing" with the cat, the cat loves to do the same. He knows "sit", "down", "shake", and "up." He has sooo much energy, we've been taking him on 30 minute walks everyday, and he loves to take the leash and walk himself. His coat coloring is gorgeous and we get compliments all the time about how handsome he is.
I've attached a picture of him up in the snow. I hope things are going good with your pack!
Take care!

Attached are some pictures of Axe who is now 63 pounds! Axe is doing great and just graduated from his basic and advanced puppy obedience training.  The trainers, who are very experienced and regularly compete with their own dogs, absolutely love Axe.  It is their expert opinion that Axe should excel in his future protection training.  Although he is only 6 months old, Axe is already displaying all the necessary genetic traits to make an outstanding protection trained dog.  Axe's trainers are truly amazed at his stable and fearless temperament.  He gets along great with other dogs and is very social with people.  However, it doesn't take much to bring out his exceptional prey and defensive drives.  He is truly an amazing pup.  Thanks again for selecting Axe for us.  You gave us exactly what we were looking for.   M

Thanks alot for Beta!
By far the best dog I've ever owned. Very smart, and quick learner too. Took me less than a week to have her potty-trained. At 4 months old she already sits, comes, stays, fetches, lays down, and goes to bed on command. Cant' imagin what she will be doing in a year.  B Litter Family Protection Dog

I can not express the joy Tara has brought to my life. At five months, her ability to learn is amazing. It only take a few times to show her what is wanted and she picks it right up. Her is temperament is wonderful, she is always ready to work and is alert to her surroundings at all times. Tara is already a perfect guard dog, she alerts me of visitors and becomes defensive in all correct situations. She is a well rounded dog and I could have not asked for more. Thanks again for your great work. Alan                                                  Tara   B Litter Working/ PPD Female

Barbara,

Boy, I should have gone back out to your website and taken a look at all the great letters that our dog's siblings and cousins new owners have written.  This made me think that I should be more detailed about Ares and Athena.....

They both have been sitting, staying (even as far as a block long), coming and down and down staying for some time now.  Ron works with them a lot and I support his training efforts.  They sleep with us on their own beds and they get in a couple miles a day unless we are at the ranch were they get a bunch more.  They love to work at the ranch and run behind the quads.  They follow Ron in the river and go hiking and hunting.

The two of them have more frequent car miles than most people have.  They are wonderful travelers and companions.  They have stayed in 'pet friendly' hotels and have been in AZ., NV., CA. and ID.  They are good around the grand kids but really want to heard them.  Ron is working to teach them to track.  Of course, we think they are very very smart and like the other people who wrote to you we think they are well breed.  We also get asked often what kind of dogs they are.  Given that they are all black in color,  people are so surprised.

Well, I could go on and on and brag and brag but I'm pretty sure you get the picture.  I will get some more updated photos of them.  They now weigh about 60-65 lbs. at 10 mo.

Hi Barbara

I wanted to give you an update on Brina (B litter). She is an awesome dog! I will forever be loyal to the German Shepherd breed after this experience. I expected to hear some puppy whining the first night we brought her home, but not a peep. From Day 1, it has felt like she was a part of the family and always had been. By 12 weeks old, she would come, sit and lay and she will stay until she is released. While on vacation she was very flexible. She traveled over 50 total hours in the car, stayed in several places overnight, met all kinds of new people and animals, and never once gave us any trouble. Everywhere we go, people comment on how well behaved she is and what good markings she has. She goes on walks off leash and can be in a full sprint and if we tell her to lay down, she will. She has natural defensive drive and always steps up to protect her family. She has a great, balanced temperament, is always ready for anything, very alert to her surroundings, and is defensive when needed. She loves to swim and play fetch with her ball. Thank you for breeding such a great dog! I’ve attached a photo of her on a boat ride with us at 8 months old, weighing 60 lbs, she is such a proud dog.   The Hedley   Family       B  Litter  Female All around Dog family protection

This pup has the best nose on her of any pup i have had and Ive had a few. She finds black powder 10 out of 10 times. She listens pretty well and I think she will have enough defense for me when she matures. I like defensive dogs and and not so much the prey drive. She is very friendly so far. One thing....I have never seen a dog that likes water like she does... not even a lab. Greg L. C litter Female   Working Female  call Name "Raven " (Chloe)
